From the President
My first experiences with
computers drifts back to 80's with my first PC, an 8086 Amstrad. At some
of my early jobs, I always seemed to be working on the computer, even
during my 10 years at Federal Express (now FedEx). I have been on the
Internets since 1995, designing and developing websites. For a while, my
husband and I built 386 PC's and became increasing knowledgeable in computer
hardware and software. Although we no longer build systems, we do
maintain our skills in repairs and maintenance.
For two
years, I worked at Hewlett Packard as a contract intranet web designer.
I have done website development for many small and large companies since
1996, including Baldwin Pianos of Marietta, GA, Scarves by Margaret and
race car driver, Alex Garcia. For ten years, I was owner and moderator
of a professional gift basket forum with a worldwide membership.
More recently,
I have taught HTML and graphic design at the high school level through
the a Home School Cooperative. Currently I am am working in course
development (CBT) and updating training materials using Macromedia (now
Adobe) Authorware and Adobe Flash.
Training and improvement is ongoing as we keep up our skills in HTML, web design and computer services.
